Rock River Arms' LAR features a purpose-designed bolt carrier, a gas impingement and an over-the-barrel spring and guide rod arrangement, the LAR is able to completely do away with the traditional recoil system associated with AR-style firearms, making for an extremely versatile weapon platform. This rifle has a chrome moly barrel with 1/2-28 muzzle threads, and an A2 flash hider. It has a folding, non-reciprocating ambidextrous charging handle, full-length top mounting rail, and RRA two-stage trigger. The LAR rifle has RRA's side-folding stock adapter and 6-position tactical CAR stock with receiver extension storage compartment. This model features a 16" barrel and carbine-length aluminum tri-rail handguard.
