This class teaches valuable skills, helping prepare students to deal with severe life-threatening injuries or illnesses when seconds count, and EMS personnel and emergency room are minutes (or longer) away. Whether from an accident or illness, active killer event, hostage situation, bombing or terrorist scenario, learning to quickly assess a patient and handle significant issues such as serious bleeding, chest injuries, a compromised airway, broken bones, and more can buy time and save your life or the lives of others. Each student will receive a trauma care manual. Discussion will also include how to build your own pocket trauma kit and suggestions for other supplies that could be easily obtained and kept on-hand. Class will meet on Sunday, April 26 from 12 - 4 p.m.
Note:While not refundable, training classes may be rescheduled with 5 days' notice.
